This is a sweet vintage religious print perfect for a child’s bedroom. The image shows a beautiful angel hovering near two children. The girl is carrying a basket with one arm wrapped protectively around the younger boy. The angel appears to be watching over them as they cross a dangerous bridge perhaps on their way home. It is very sweet.

The Cusco School (also spelled Cuzco) was a regional art form developed in Cusco, Peru. It was specifically Catholic and flourished in the Spanish colonial era. The style saw a resurgence during the early to mid 20th century.

They each have delicate colorful wings and elaborate halos. The colors are rich and vibrant against a shimmering metallic gold background. Exquisite.

This magnificent antique religious print depicts Jesus carrying a lamb on His shoulders. Our Lord is wearing the Crown of Thorns and holding a shepherd’s crook. The landscape is bleak and stormy, with Christ’s halo the only point of light. Christ’s hair and cloak billow in the wind as He walks barefoot through thorny brambles. The scene is a beautiful image of Our Lord caring for a soul during dark times.
The engraving is likely from the mid-1800s, but it is now housed in a modern frame.
This is a lovely devotional piece from France. The porcelain medallion has a hand painted image of Notre Dame de Hal or Our Lady of Hal. The image shows the famous statue of the Black Madonna of Hal, Belgium. Our Lady of Hal has been venerated since the 1200s and is accredited with many miracles, including saving the city from cannon fire in 1580. In this painting she is shown wearing a large crown and brightly colored gowns with a pile of cannonballs at her feet.
This is a magnificent antique religious art print. Saint Rita is shown contemplating a crucifix held gingerly in her hands while an angel holds a crown of thorns above her head. A single small thorn from the crown pierces her forehead. Stunning.
St. Rita (Margherita Lotti) was born in Cascia, Italy in 1381.At the age of 36, following the deaths of her abusive husband and both of her sons, Rita entered an Augustinian convent. She was known for her piety and prayer life, including the partial stigmata of a wound from Christ’s Crown of Thorns. Saint Rita is the patron saint of lost and impossible causes, sickness, wounds, marital problems, abuse, and mothers. Feast day: May 22.
This is a beautiful vintage religious print. It is the iconic scene of Saint Cecilia playing a piano or organ while two chubby angels shower her with flowers. This is a print on board with no glass.
St. Cecilia was a virgin martyr who died in Rome circa 170. Forced to marry a pagan, she was said to have “sung in her heart to the Lord” during the wedding ceremony. Under her influence both her husband and brother-in-law converted and were also martyred for the faith. She is the patron saint of music. Feast day: November 22.
