The pair are framed by an elegant arch with the moon at Mary’s feet and roses on either side.

This is a wonderful piece perfect for the religious collector. It is two examples of illuminated pages from the medieval Psalter of Saint Louis. The images are stunning with bright colors and shimmering gold detailing.
The Psalter of Saint Louis is considered one of the best examples of medieval illuminated manuscripts. It dates to the mid 1200’s and was made for King Louis IX of France, who was canonized in 1297.
The reverse has a history of the Psalter as well as a foil marker reading: “The Manuscript Collection”; “Handmade in Britain for Jester’s of Bath”.
