This is a unique example of mid-century religious art. It is a stylized image of the Blessed Virgin Mary carrying a young Christ. Our Lord is shown nestled into her shoulder while she holds Him protectively in both arms. Both figures are crowned and both show expressions of sorrow in anticipation of the pain and loss to come. It is very profound and moving.
This is a wonderful set of religious devotionals. One is an image of Christ pointing to His Sacred Heart while the other shows the Blessed Virgin Mother with her heart also exposed. Both figures are surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves and acorns symbols of potential, strength, and growth.
This pair of wall plaques are made of an early wood composite by the Barwood company.
This is a stunning piece of religious art. It is a beautiful image of St. Mary’s Basilica in Krakow, Poland with its two spires reaching towards a dark and stormy sky. The scene is evocative as the entrance is light and inviting protecting those who enter from the coming storm. Wonderful.
This piece is beautifully framed and matted. The artist’s signature is in the lower left corner, but it is illegible.
This is a stunning antique sculpture. It is a highly detailed scene of the Nativity. The focal point is, of course, Our Lord in the manger. The Blessed Virgin Mary is kneeling over Him in prayer while they are surrounded by a host of people, angles and animals. Cherubs are rollicking in the clouds above and the shepherds are in the distant background. The scene is vibrant with excitement and the detail is amazing.
This piece was made in France and is signed “Favier”. We believe it is bronze and dates to the 1800’s. It is housed in a beautiful wood frame and is quite heavy.
Please Note: The bronze has no backing and is loose from the frame. This can be easily repaired.

Reverse glass painting is an ancient folk art tradition of Bavaria. This piece is likely from the early turn of the century. The backing is also beautifully painted and held in place with wooden pegs. Fantastic.
Saint Charles Borremeo
Saint Charles Borromeo was the cardinal archbishop of Milan from 1564 to 1584. Among the great reformers of the troubled sixteenth century, Borromeo helped lead the movement to combat the inroads being made by the Protestant Reformation. He was a leading figure during the Counter-Reformation and was responsible for significant reforms in the Catholic Church, including the founding of seminaries for the education of priests. Saint Charles Borromeo was canonized in 1610. Feast Day: November 4.
This is a unique religious painting. It is an image of a habited nun with a radiant halo. Her hands are folded in prayer over her crucifix. Her expression is serene as she lifts her eyes towards Heaven. Wonderful!
This is painted on richly stained wood with a long cord and tassel. The artist signature is difficult to read but we believe it is Daniel Larson.

This is a fantastic vintage religious print. It is an image of the Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The third person of the Trinity appears as a white dove above several apostles with golden halos kneeling to receive the flames of the Holy Ghost. Magnificent.
The print has a striking frame that is designed to look like aged crumbling columns. The frame and print appear to be quite old but with newer backing and staples to keep it in place.
