This is a rare vintage religious medal. It is a commemorative medal celebrating the 1400th anniversary of Saint Gregory as well as the official crowning of the famous statue in Marsat in 1939. The image of Saint Gregory is surrounded with the words “Saint Gregory of Tours 539-1939”. The reverse shows the statue of the Black Madonna of Marsat with Christ in her lap and a crown hovering above her head. Surrounding them is the French “Our Lady of Marsat Pray for Us May 1939”.
This is a rare vintage religious medal. One side shows an image of Christ pointing to His Sacred Heart. “This is the Heart that loves men so much” is written in French above His arm and the artist’s mark “Penin” is below.
The other side shows a Pieta image of the sorrowful Blessed Virgin Mary with Our Lord’s Corpus in her lap. Surrounding the pieta is the French “Our Lady of Saint Germain of Fosses Pray for Us”
This is an superb antique cameo. It is a rendition of the famous Painting of Our Lady of the Rosary, also known as Our Lady of Pompeii. It shows the Blessed Virgin Mother sitting on a throne while holding Christ in her lap. Two figures can be seen at the foot of the throne, each looking up with devotion. The word “AVE” is carved beneath Our Lady. Beautiful!
We believe this is 800 Silver vermeil. There is a mark but it is not legible.
History of Our Lady of the Rosary:
The painting shows the Blessed Virgin Mary holding a young Christ in her lap. Both have glorious crowns and are surrounded by a halo of stars. Christ and the Madonna are presenting rosaries to Saint Dominic and Saint Catherine of Siena. The original painting is associated with many miracles and can be seen at the Pontifical Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary of Pompeii, Italy (the modern city near the ancient ruins of Pompeii).

This is a beautiful vintage religious pendant. It is an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary in profile holding a gorgeous stem of lilies, symbolizing purity. Her head is covered in a flowing veil with a subtle but striking halo. Stunning!
The setting is silver with a delicate twisted gold wire detailing. The reverse is marked but is not legible. There is a jump ring to wear it as a pendant and a bar pin for the brooch.
This is a lovely vintage bar pin. At the center is an image of the Blessed Virgin Mary as she appeared in Banneux, Belgium. The metal icon shows the Madonna standing with her hands folded in prayer with Mariette Beco kneeling before her.
In 1933 the Madonna appeared eight times to 12-year-old Mariette Bero. Our Lady is reported to have stated:
“I am the Virgin of the Poor” “I am the Mother of the Savior, the Mother of God” “Pray hard”
The apparitions at Banneux were officially approved by the Catholic Church in 1949.
This is a stunning vintage religious pin. On the front is an image of Our Lord with a radiant gold halo and gold painted heart. He is standing with His arms opened wide in welcome and His Sacred Heart is exposed. Surrounding the central medallion is an ornate ring of flowers. The medallion is signed “A. Lanes”.
Condition: The pin screw is missing, and the finish above Christ’s left hand has been worn away. Please see pictures.
This is a captivating antique religious medal. The main image shows Jesus holding the scriptures and offering a blessing. The reverse contains a prayer in Old Church Slavonic, the liturgical language of the ancient Russian church. The Prayer reads “Save Our People O Lord”.
This is a beautiful medal of the famous Russian Saint Xenia. After the death of her husband, Xenia (also spelled Ksenia) gave up all her wealth and became known as a “Fool for Christ”. She spent her days helping the poor, and at night she would help at church construction sites, moving bricks to make building faster for the workers during the day.
This is a particularly beautiful vintage religious pendant from Russia. It is an icon of the Blessed Virgin Mother holding a young Christ. The pair are framed by a delicate filigree decorative pattern. The pendant is sterling silver with a radiant rose gold finish.
This is a unique vintage religious medal. On the front is an image of Saint Catherine of Alexandria, a virgin martyr of the early Church. Inscribed on the reverse is the prayer “Save and Preserve Us”.
St. Catherine was a convert who was martyred at the age of 18, circa 300 AD. Her testimony and defense of the faith converted several hundred pagans who witnessed her persecution. She is the patron saint of many groups, including unmarried girls, students, apologists, and wheelwrights. Saint Catherine’s feast day is November 25.
This is a beautiful antique cameo in a unique setting. The cameo is a carved image of the Blessed Virgin Mary veiled, her head slightly bowed, with a magnificent radiant halo. The piece is made of hand-carved, pale pink shell in a deep setting with metal coil decorative detailing. Gorgeous.
