This a beautiful Art Deco font. It is metal medallion of the Blessed Virgin Mary in profile with her hands folded in prayer encircled by a simple halo. The medallion is placed on a wooden plaque stained a rich walnut brown with marbled bakelite detailing and a fluted glass bowl.
The is a wonderful vintage holy water bottle and stand. The stand shows a Miraculous Medal with “Franciscan Monastery Washington DC” surrounding it. The bottle is glass with a simple cross on one side.
This is a stunning vintage holy water font. It is a highly detailed crucifix above a shell shaped font bowl. Our Lord is shown as very thin with His head falling forward. A sunburst radiates from behind Him while the Crown of Thorns encircles the cross. There is a beautiful angel at His feet above the font bowl which is entwined with ivy leaves. Absolutely gorgeous!
The crucifix is metal with a silvered finish against a vibrant red velvet background.
Condition: This does need dusting and will clean up beautifully.
This is a wonderful antique holy water font. The central image is a metal medallion with a portrait of St. John Vianney. Around the saint are the words in French “Blessed J. B. M. Vianney Cure D’Ars Pray for Us”. Beneath the medallion is plaque that reads “Souvenir of Ars”.
The font bowl is elaborately decorated. It shows a dove, representing the Holy Spirit, amidst flowers with an angel at the base. Beautiful!
St. John Vianney, also known as the Cure of Ars, was well known for his piety, his support of priests, and his devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. He became a very popular confessor and is famous for spending 16-18 hours a day in the confessional absolving sinners. He is the patron saint of priests.
Since this piece refers to Vianney as “Blessed” we can know that it dates between 1905 and 1925.
This is a fantastic vintage crucifix perfect for a home altar. The crucifix rises above a beautiful holy water font inscribed with a cross and two candle holders patterned in a floral motif. The plaque beneath the crucifix reads in Dutch “Heer Uw Wil Geschiede” or “Lord Thy will be done”. The rich bronze color of the metal pieces are striking against the lightly stained wood.
Condition: The right hand of the corpus has been glued to the wood. Please see pictures.

The artist’s signature, “Doisy”, can be seen on Christ’s right shoulder.
The medallion is set on a wood background above a beautifully fluted glass bowl. The wood plaque is embellished with metal trim and inlay. Absolutely gorgeous!
This is a magnificent antique holy water font. The central image is a bas relief of Christ and a young girl with the Eucharist set before them on a table. Our Lord is giving a benediction, gesturing with one hand while the other rests lovingly on her shoulder.
The artist’s signature, “Ruffony”, can be clearly seen above Christ's right shoulder. Ruffony was a well known sculptor who worked in France during the late 1800s and early 1900s.
The metal medallion is mounted on a beautifully embellished wood background. The wood is stained a rich, dark brown with metal inlay and bakelite overlay. It is gorgeous!
This is a rare antique holy water font. It is a bas relief image of Jesus wearing the Crown of Thorns. Our Lord is shown with a pained, sorrowful expression and seems to look directly at the viewer. It is haunting.
This font is unique in that the glass bowl is placed above the image. The bands holding it in place form a stylized cross with the “IHS” Christogram prominently displayed. The background is heart shaped and covered with tiny decorative crosses.
This is a lovely antique holy water font. It is a relief image of the Blessed Virgin Mary holding a young Jesus in her lap with Saint John nearby. It is brass with remnants of red enamel inside the font bowl. “Banneux” is inscribed along the Madonna’s arm.
Our Lady of Banneux / Our Lady of the Poor:
In 1933, the Madonna appeared eight times to 12-year-old Mariette Bero in Banneux, Belgium. Our Lady is reported to have stated:
“I am the Virgin of the Poor” “I am the Mother of the Savior, the Mother of God” “Pray hard”
The apparitions at Banneux were officially approved by the Catholic Church in 1949.
This is an extraordinary antique holy water font. At its center is a large medallion showing St. Therese holding a crucifix and a bouquet of roses. Around her are the words “Saint Therese of the Infant Jesus” in Spanish. A golden dove, representing the Holy Ghost, is depicted above the medallion. Absolutely gorgeous!
The central piece is silver-toned metal with gold detailing. It rests on a background of marbled lucite with pearled lucite trim. All of this is mounted on a beautiful hardwood base. The font bowl is elegantly fluted glass.
St. Therese is known by several names: Saint Thérèse of Lisieux, Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, and popularly as “The Little Flower”. She is the patron saint of aviators, florists, illnesses, and missions. Feast Day: October 1.
Condition: The trim is beginning to peel, but this could be easily repaired.
