Soubirous described the lady as wearing a white dress, an equally white veil, a blue belt, and a yellow rose on each foot. Across her arm she carried a rosary.
In her messages at Lourdes, Our Lady announced that she is the Immaculate Conception, and she stressed the need for penance and prayer for sinners.
