This is a lovely antique standing crucifix with matching candlesticks perfect for a home altar or prayer corner. The crucifix is simple and elegant with subtle decorative details on the cross and beautiful winding floral designs on the base. The candlesticks have the same floral design on both the base and the bowl. The set is made of heavy metal painted a rich gold.
Please Note: The design is Art Nouveau (circa 1880s-1920s), but the gold paint appears to have been applied more recently.
Condition: There is a repaired crack on the back of the cross. Please see pictures.
Dimensions: Crucifix - 7" tall x 3.25" wide; Candlesticks - 4" tall x 2" square base
This is a gorgeous set of antique flower vases once used in a church. They have simple, elegant lines with fluted necks and deeply rounded bodies. The “IHS” Christogram is etched into the face of each vase.
These vases were donated to the Church in memory of a beloved family member. The engraving on the back of each vase reads: “In loving memory of Mary Baker Parsons, Jan 18, 1941 - Feb 22, 1917, by her grandchildren”.
Condition: These need a deep cleaning and polish. One vase has been repaired. Please see pictures.
This is a lovely, antique tabletop shrine perfect for a home altar. The central image shows the Blessed Virgin Mary holding a young Christ. This small icon is framed in a magnificent metal housing with a bright, radiant halo erupting like a flower from a bejeweled pedestal. This piece is styled like a monstrance or reliquary, but the image is fixed in place. Absolutely stunning!
This is a pair of antique religious cruets used in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. They are made of heavy pewter with ornate handles and hinged lids. The lids are labeled “V” for vinum and “A” for aqua: the Latin for water and wine. Our research found nothing similar to this set!
This is a gorgeous set of vintage liturgical embroidery. Both pieces are silk and are of similar length. One piece has the “IHS” Christogram surrounded by a beautiful floral motif. The other piece is a continuation of the floral embroidery. Both have been removed from the original backing. These could be easily trimmed and artistically framed to create an elegant display.
